Cricket Victoria celebrates NAIDOC week

This year’s theme is ‘Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!’ and encourages all Australians to continue to gather momentum for change.

NAIDOC week, a week to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is an opportunity to learn about First Nations cultures and histories, whilst also participating in the celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on Earth.

Cricket Victoria joins all Australians in acknowledging the First Nations peoples as the traditional custodians of the land and continues to Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! for systemic change.

Jawoyn woman and Victorian off-spinner Ella Hayward speaks about the importance of NAIDOC Week and celebrating the connection to her heritage.

Join Cricket Victoria in celebrating this NAIDOC week from 3rd – 10th July 2022.
