A critical incident investigation has been declared after an incident at a unit block in Marrickville.
Shortly after 2.20pm today (Thursday 21 September 2023), emergency services responded to View Street, Marrickville, following reports of a number of people fighting outside of a unit block.
Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command attended and spoke with a man and a woman inside of a unit at the location.
Whilst inside the unit, police became aware of a third person present in another room.
Following inquiries, a woman was located outside the premises suffering injuries.
The 22-year-old woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been established, with a critical incident team from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation will be subject to an independent review.
