“The Opposition Leader should immediately retract her misleading statements about the fully independent Commission of Inquiry into Paradise dam.
“The Opposition is dishonestly attacking an independent inquiry that has been empowered to look into “the root cause of structural and stability issues” previously identified at Paradise Dam.
“It simply doesn’t get more thorough.
“Ms Frecklington’s comments about the Terms of Reference being limited by time or scope are completely false.
“Executive Council has empowered the Commissioners to seek submissions, interview witnesses and call public hearings – with no time limits, other than an April 30 2020 report back.
“The terms of reference ask them to seek the root causes of the issues identified in reports that were published between 2013-19 – not as the LNP has totally dishonestly said, to only investigate back to 2013.
“I encourage Queenslanders to read the terms of reference online themselves, rather than believe the misleading statements of the LNP.”
