About 3.10am, emergency services were called to a house fire on Ullapool Road. Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and extinguished the fire, which caused significant damage to the home. No one was injured.
As a result of inquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Atwell on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, where a 25-year-old man was arrested and taken into police custody.
The man has been charged with one count of ‘Criminal Damage by Fire’.
His bail was refused and he is due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday, 22 October 2026.
The investigation remains ongoing.
