Deep Creek Bridge replacement

MidCoast Council

Council has begun work to replace Deep Creek Bridge on The Bucketts Way at Limeburners Creek.

The old timber and concrete structure will be demolished, followed by the construction of a longer and wider concrete bridge with new bridge approaches.

“This is an important safety upgrade to this major connector route,” said MidCoast Council’s Director of Infrastructure and Engineering Services, Rob Scott.

A sealed side track with a one-lane temporary bridge will be constructed over Deep Creek prior to the new bridge being built. Please expect minor delays and allow for extra travel time.

The bridge replacement will be complete in November, weather permitting.

“We ask road users to be patient, and follow the reduced speed limits and other traffic control measures in place during the work.”

Deep Creek Bridge replacement on The Bucketts Way is funded by the Australian Government’s Roads of Strategic Importance initiative ($20 million contribution), with an additional $5 million dollar contribution from the NSW Government.
