A woman will appear in court today after being charged with mid-range PCA twice within 24 hours with a child in the car on one occasion. (check whether boy was in the car on both occasions)
About 11.10pm yesterday (Tuesday 5 March 2019) officers from North Shore Police Area Command were performing stationary random breath testing on the Pacific Highway, Artarmon, when a white Mini Cooper ignored police directions to stop and almost crashed into the “Stop Police Sign”.
The mini stopped about 50 metres north of the RBT site. and eventually stopped about 50 metres north of the RBT site.
Police breath tested the driver, a 40-year-old Lane Cove woman, which returned a positive roadside result.
The woman was taken to Chatswood Police Station where she returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.128. Further checks revealed her licence was already suspended due to fine default.
Police will allege a nine-year-old boy was in the car. A child at risk notification was made.
The woman was charged with drive with mid-range PCA and resist police.
She was granted conditional to appear at Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday 27 March 2019.
About 4.25am today (Wednesday 6 March 2019), police observed a white Mini Cooper traveling north on the Pacific Highway, Artarmon.
The vehicle was seen to allegedly travel through a red traffic light at the intersection of Pacific Highway and Osborne Road, Lane Cove.
Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, a 40-year-old woman,
Police breath tested the driver, which returned a positive roadside result.
The woman was again arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station where she returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.086.
She was charged with drive with mid-range PCA – second offence, drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, and proceed through red traffic light.
The Lane Cove woman was refused bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court today (Wednesday 6 March 2019).
