Motor sports in the Territory welcome their new hometoday with the completion of the Territory Labor Governments $6 million MotorSports House project at Hidden Valley.
Built by local company C&R Constructions, the $4.9million design and construct tender supported 30 construction jobs, with $1.1million delivering roads and infrastructure upgrades.
The new purpose-built facility provides a corporatemeeting place for industry and events, hot desk and administration facilities,and training and conference rooms.
The welcome foyer features a custom-built Sprint Car(Speedway) hanging from the ceiling and screens displaying footage of localmotor sports.
The facility houses a world-class function and eventspace with spectacular trackside views, is fully equipped with audio/videocapabilities and can hold up to 200 people.
There are more than 8000 locally licenced motorsportscompetitors, pit crew, volunteers and officials in the Territory, and more than180,000 spectators turn out to watch a range of motor sports events each year.
Motor sport activities are well represented throughout theTerritory, and many are held at Hidden Valley, including the BetEasy DarwinTriple Crown race in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, drag racing,Speedway and drift events.
Motor Sports House is available for event use seven daysa week and offers a premier VIP option for corporate groups, as well as amodern, spacious location for functions.

The Territory Labor Government is investing $13 millionin motor sports infrastructure to support local motor sports clubs, create jobsfor locals and attract visitors to the Territory.
Motor sports are hugely popular in the Territory and nowwe have a modern, multi-purpose facility that brings Hidden Valley in line withother Australian sporting venues. It will also support the local motor sportscommunity with improved amenities and administrative infrastructure.
We have invested in a range of upgrades at HiddenValley, including new broadcast-quality lighting on the Drags track, newtrackside irrigation, new safety barriers and tyre walls, and improvements totrackside spectator viewing areas.
