Police have charged three people with a range of offences following an incident in Surfers Paradise last night.
At 9pm, officers were performing routine patrols around the Gold Coast when they observed a white BMW sedan bearing false registration plates and containing three people, in Surfers Paradise.
The crew followed the BMW for some time, at one point losing sight of the vehicle before it was again located driving down Monarco Street off the Gold Coast Highway. The vehicle then drove down a dead-end street and parked in a driveway.
Officers approached the vehicle and subsequent search of the vehicle yielded 120g of Methylamphetamine, utensils, a stolen credit card and suspected stolen property (Jaguar car key).
All three people in the vehicle were arrested and charged without incident.
The vehicle had been stolen from a burglary in Logan on March 6.
A 40-year-old Broadbeach Waters woman has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs, possess dangerous drugs and possessing tainted property.
A 39-year-old Paradise Point man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess dangerous drugs, unregistered driving, unlicensed driving, driving under the influence of a drug.
They were both scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
A 23-year-old Biggera Waters man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing dangerous drugs. He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on March 26.
