For the past two years, we have been exploring all available options to better manage parking around our beaches and town centres, and across the Peninsula more generally.
Among the range of options being considered to improve the parking experience is paid parking. We will shortly begin an information gathering process by calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to get a better understanding of the available parking management options.
The EOI will seek submissions from parking management service providers that will give us a detailed understanding of the technology and services available and the factors that need to be considered, such as a resident parking permit scheme, paid parking and smart parking technology.
We will then seek community input on the options available and develop key principles designed to improve the experience of parking for everyone who lives, works and plays on the Peninsula.
