Detectives from the Echo Taskforce have arrested a man and seized a firearm following warrants in Brunswick and Doveton today.
A search of a Bandidos OMCG clubhouse on Weston Street, Brunswick uncovered a loaded firearm and drugs believed to be steroids.
A 48-year-old Brunswick man was subsequently arrested at the property.
A warrant was also executed at a property in Doveton as part of the operation, however no one was arrested and no items were seized.
The man has been charged with possess unregistered handgun, possess drug of dependence and possess ammunition without a licence.
He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 14 November, 2019.
