IBAC charges four people as part of Operation Lansdowne

Victoria’s anti-corruption agency, IBAC, has charged four people with a range of offences as part of Operation Lansdowne.

IBAC’s Operation Lansdowne investigation examined allegations of serious corruption involving the Victorian vocational education and training, and transport sectors.

More than 55 charges have been laid against four individuals in the Victorian vocational education and training sector – one former public sector employee and three individuals associated with an external provider – with alleged offences including:

  • conspiracy to defraud
  • obtaining financial advantage by deception
  • using and suppling identification information
  • dealing with proceeds of crime
  • misconduct in public office
  • computer offences – unauthorised modification of data to cause impairment.
  • Those charged have been summoned to appear at the Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court on 19 October 2020.
