Investigation continuing after fatal stabbing – Gosford

An investigation is continuing under Strike Force Volaru after a man was fatally stabbed in Gosford last night.

About 7.30pm (Tuesday 28 July 2026), emergency services were called to Mann Street following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District attended and found a 22-year-old man had been stabbed.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital.

A short time later, police were notified that the man had died in hospital. He is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene was established, and police commenced Strike Force Volaru to investigate the incident.

Inquiries are continuing to locate a teenage boy seen in the area the time of the incident who may be able to assist police with inquiries.

The boy is described as being about 175cm tall, of medium build, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a vest over a shirt and long pants.
