Investigations continue after complaints about motorcyclists at Bourke, NSW

A teenage boy has been issued with Traffic Infringement Notices after complaints of motorcycles being ridden dangerously through Bourke.

About 5.15pm on Tuesday 11 August 2020, officers attached to Central North Police District stopped a motorcycle travelling on Monomeeth Street, Bourke, after multiple reports of dangerous driving within the township.

The rider, a 17-year-old boy, was issued with Traffic Infringement Notices for driver never licenced, cause or permit use of unregistered vehicle on road, use uninsured motor vehicle, and motorbike rider (alone) not wear approved helmet.

Between Saturday (15 August 2020) and Sunday (16 August 2020), police responded to multiple reports of dangerous driving involving motorcycles within the Bourke township.

Patrols were conducted; however, the riders had left the scene.

Investigations continue.

Police are seeking assistance from the community to identify locations the offenders are visiting and where the motorcycles are being kept.
