Investigations underway after serious assault, NSW

A man has been taken to hospital suffering head injuries after being assaulted in Sydney’s south overnight.

About 12.30am (Saturday 30 May 2020), emergency services were called to a home on President Avenue, Brighton-Le-Sands after reports of a brawl inside.

On arrival, police found a group of up to 15 men inside the premises, and a man, aged 30, on the footpath outside suffering significant head injuries.

The injured man was treated before being taken to St George Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from St George Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

A number of men are assisting police at Hurstville and Kogarah Police Stations – they are not under arrest.
