Wyndham Art Gallery is delighted to announce the upcoming exhibition ISTHMUS which opens on Wednesday 24 August and runs until 16 October.
Wyndham City’s Creative City portfolio holder Cr Marcel Mahfoud said: “Come and visit the Wyndham Art Gallery and be immersed in this wonderful new exhibition.”
“ISTHMUS explores the collective voices of artists from Central America and the complexities of currently living there or being part of the wider diasporic community.”
The exhibition is guest curated by Point Cook local, Dr. Tania Canas, a leader in this field.
“Through her selection of artists, the ISTHMUS exhibition is considered, nuanced and powerful in bringing unheard narratives to the fore. This exciting exhibition is not to be missed,” Cr Mahfoud said.
The ISTHMUS exhibition listens to voices that are rarely heard and seeks to understand the lived Central America experience, from the collected voices in the exhibition.
