A leading senior constable has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 48-year-old male officer from Eastern Region was charged with unlawful assault and assault with a weapon.
The alleged incident took place in February 2020 in Wodonga while the officer was on duty.
He will be summoned to appear at a magistrates’ court at a later date.
