Man assaulted during break-in at Reynella, South Australia

Police are investigating a break-in at Reynella in the early hours of this morning, where a man was assaulted.

About 12.40am today (Thursday 5 March) patrols were called to a house in Mirrimar Crescent, after reports that a man had been found in the street with head and leg injuries.

Police later found that his home had been broken into, and he had been assaulted by men armed with weapons including a tyre lever.

His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

The first suspect is described as being aged in his mid 30s, about 180cm tall with dark hair, tanned complexion, unshaven and was wearing a black singlet, with a Celtic-style tattoo on his left arm and another tattoo on his neck.

The second suspect is described as being aged in his late 20s to early 30s, about 180cm tall, blonde hair, blue eyes with a goatee-style beard, and he was wearing a black hooded jumper with writing on it. He also had skull-design rings on his fingers.

The suspects left the scene in a light-coloured Holden sedan, driven by a third person.

Police believe this was not a random incident, and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
