Man blows 0.337, charged with high-range drink driving in Riverstone

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after a crash in Sydney’s north-west last night.

About 6.15pm (Thursday 9 May 2019), police were called to Garfield Road East, Riverstone, after reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Quakers Hill Police Area Command attended and spoke with the driver of a Holden Commodore – a 43-year-old man – after it collided with another vehicle on Garfield Road East.

No one was injured in the crash which caused minor damage.

The 43-year-old man was subject to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result, before being arrested and taken to Riverstone Police Station, where he was subject to a further breath analysis which returned a result of 0.337.

He was charged with drive with high range PCA – 2nd offence, and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, and refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Friday 10 May 2019).
