Man impersonates police officer in Jamisontown

Police seek public assistance following reports a man impersonated a police officer in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 9am (Tuesday 25 June 2019), a woman was driving her silver Toyota Camry north east on Tench Avenue, Jamisontown.

She was flagged down by a man, who requested she stop her vehicle.

He then accused the driver of a traffic offence.

About 6.20pm (Tuesday 25 June 2019), the woman attended Penrith Police Station, where officers failed to find any reported speeding offences at that date and time on Tench Avenue, Jamisontown.
