Education Minister Tony Buti was in the South West today to officially open a $3.3 million upgrade at South Bunbury Education Support Centre.

The project includes a new state-of-the-art early childhood learning block to support some of the school’s youngest learners.

The upgrades comprise three classrooms for kindergarten and pre-primary students, kitchen facilities, an internal store, and staff and student toilets.

Surrounding the new building are low-maintenance, water wise gardens, complemented by a new covered playground for outdoor activities.

The project was designed by H+H Architects and built by Hacer Group Pty Ltd.

Since 2017, the State Government has invested more than $4.4 billion into building and upgrading education facilities across Western Australia.

As stated by Education Minister Dr Tony Buti:

“These fantastic new learning facilities will ensure the young students at South Bunbury Education Support Centre will have the best start possible to their education.

“This project is another example of our commitment to ensuring Western Australian students learn in modern educational facilities.”

As stated by Bunbury MLA Don Punch:

“I know these upgrades are a welcome addition for local families with young children and I am thrilled that we could deliver this key election commitment, which I campaigned strongly for.

“This important project will mean Bunbury Education Support Centre students in our community can have their educational needs met from the early years of learning.”
