Nominations now open for 2024 Australian of Year Awards

No matter how well known an individual’s contributions or achievements may be, without a nomination submitted by a member of the public, they will not be in the running.

In the Hawkesbury we have so many amazing individuals!

Now is your chance to tell the National Australia Day Council who you think should be considered for the 2024 awards.

There are four categories in the awards:

  • Australian of the Year
  • Senior Australian of the Year (aged 65 years and over)
  • Young Australian of the Year (aged 16-30 years)
  • Australia’s Local Hero

It’s simple to submit a nomination and you don’t need to know the person you’re nominating; you just need to submit a little about what they do and why they’re special.

See the selection criteria and nominate someone inspiring for the 2024 Australian of the Year Awards online at https://australianoftheyear.org.au

Nominations for the 2024 Australian of the Year Awards close midnight on Monday, 31 July 2023.
