A new look North West Local Land Services Board is getting to work following an announcement by the Minister for Agriculture and Western New South Wales, Adam Marshall.
The Board includes three people who were successful in board elections and four members including the new Chair, Richard Clark, who have been appointed by the Minister.
“I welcome the North West Board with its mix of new and familiar faces,” said Richard Bull, Local Land Services state-wide chair.
“Their combined skills and experience will ensure they can provide strong strategic direction to North West Local Land Services over the coming years,” he said.
Once board members have completed an induction process, they will begin their important work of helping connect North West Local Land Services to the landholders and communities it serves.
Local Land Services Chief Executive Officer, David Witherdin, said the agency looked forward to working with all 11 regional boards around the state.
“We will seek their support as we continue adapting our business so we can best assist land managers amidst COVID-19 restrictions,” Mr Witherdin said.
A new face on the North West Local Land Services 2020 Board is:
- Jocellin Janssen of Narrabri, who has experience in rural, industry, government and advocacy for women in agriculture has been appointed.
Familiar faces are:
- Richard Clark of Boggabilla who runs a cattle farm north of Moree has been re-appointed to the board. He has been appointed as the new Chair.
- Rebecca Reardon who is a sheep farmer from Moree was appointed in 2019 and is continuing her term.
- Russell Webb who is a primary producer from Duri and Councillor on Tamworth Regional Council was appointed in 2019 and is continuing his term.
- Keith Ean Harris who is semi-retired after a long career in corporate agriculture and now lives near Tamworth has been re-elected.
- Geoffrey Allan Cruikshank who runs a mixed farming family property north-east of Moree has been re-elected.
- Annie McMahon who is a nurse, midwife and partner in a farming and grazing business near Burren Junction has been re-elected.
