A man has been charged after he allegedly stabbed another man in a brawl at a St Clair carpark yesterday.
About 2.50pm (Monday 24 November 2020), two men, aged 35 and 41, were waiting at the St Clair Shopping Centre carpark, for their children to finish school.
A verbal altercation erupted between the men that quickly escalated to a physical confrontation. It’s alleged the 41-year-old has produced a knife and stabbed the younger man a number of times in the back and arm.
A large crowd has gathered at the scene and the older man left the area.
The injured man attended Nepean Hospital for treatment to three stab wounds. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
The older man presented to Blacktown Hospital for injuries to his face. Detectives from Nepean Police Area Command attended the hospital where they placed the 41-year-old under arrest.
After being discharged he was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with malicious wounding cause grievous bodily harm, and affray.
He was refused bail and will appear in Blacktown Local Court today (Tuesday 24 November 2020).
