NSW police charge man over ‘up skirting’ offences in Sydney

A man has been charged over eight alleged ‘up skirting’ offences at numerous locations throughout Sydney earlier this year.

On 9 April 2019, officers from Police Transport Command commenced investigations into allegations an unknown male was filming up a woman’s skirt whilst walking up a set of stairs at Central Railway Station.

It’s alleged during a separate investigation, images were discovered on a 26-year-old man’s phone which implicated him in the offences.

Yesterday morning (Saturday 7 September 2019), officers attended a home in Revesby and arrested the man.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with eight counts of film persons private parts without consent.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday 18 September 2019.

Police allege the offences occurred at three different locations, including Central Railway Station, Hurstville Railway Station, and a plaza at North Sydney.

The offences allegedly occurred between 8 April 2019 and 27 May 2019.
