On arrival, Police saw two men aggressively approach a man and a woman and intervened.

The 26-year-old man was escorted to Westmead Hospital by police to be treated for a laceration to his head.

Both men were later taken to Granville Police Station and charged. The 28-year-old-man was charged with two counts of assault police officer in the execution of duty. The 26-year-old is facing the same charges plus another for resist officer in execution of duty.
