NSW police charge woman with drink driving after 0.341 reading

A woman, with an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.341, is facing court after crashing into bollards and a ticket machine, in Double Bay yesterday.

Police were called to the carpark of a shopping centre on Kiaora Road about 5.50pm (Thursday 19 September 2019), after reports a Porsche Cayenne had crashed.

Nearby members of the public rendered assistance to the driver, removing her from the vehicle before officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended.

The woman was subject to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result, before she was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station.

A subsequent breath analysis returned a reading of 0.341.

The 44-year-old Bellevue Hill woman was charged with high-range PCA (1st offence), and granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 11 October 2019.
