NSW police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Hills

A motorcyclist has been killed following a crash in Sydney’s north-west this morning.

Just before 7.30am (Saturday 26 September 2020), emergency services were called to Cattai Ridge Road, Glenorie, after reports a motorcycle had collided with a stationary truck.

CPR was commenced by a nearby resident with Rural Fire Service (RFS) personnel attending to assist until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, the male rider died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command have established a crime scene with the assistance of Traffic and Highway Patrol. The truck driver has been taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory testing.

As investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the crash, Cattai Ridge Road remains closed between Miller and Halcrows Roads. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
