NSW police seek public assistance after fatal crash near Bermagui

Police are appealing for public assistance after a fatal crash on the state’s south coast.

Just after 9am today (Thursday 28 October 2021), emergency services responded to reports of a black Lexus SUV crashing into a tree on the Princes Highway, Tilba Tilba, about 20km north of Bermagui.

The male driver was found to be deceased upon the arrival of emergency services. He is yet to be formally identified.

A male passenger is currently trapped in the vehicle and attempts are being made to free him.

The Princes Highway is open in both directions and only minor traffic delays are being experienced.

Officers from South Coast Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
