An off-duty police officer has been charged over an alleged domestic-related assault.
Just before 1am today (Sunday 8 November 2020), police were called to a home in Sydney’s south west following reports a woman had been assaulted by a man who was known to her.
Following inquiries, a 39-year-old man – who is a senior constable attached to a specialist command – was arrested at Narellan Police Station about 10am today.
He was charged with common assault (DV).
The officer, who was off-duty at the time of the incident, was granted conditional bail to appear at Camden Local Court on Thursday (12 November 2020).
His employment status is currently under review.
