A few weeks ago Southland fisher Pat Nyhon was on a family vacation in Europe – literally on the other side of the world – but that didn’t stop him from putting pen to paper in response to an opinion piece on bottom trawling that ran in a number of Kiwi papers. Pat felt it was important to share his perspective with his local community, and we’re grateful he did.
This week in The Update, we felt it was only right to not just thank Pat for stepping up and telling his side of the story, but also to share his impactful words with you all.
