Save water and protect your garden – take advantage of Council’s FREE mulch, available to Cairns residents this weekend, Friday 22 to Monday 25 November.
Green waste received through the recent free drop-off period has been shredded and will be made available from Council’s waste transfer stations for use on domestic gardens.
Mulch is available from the following locations:
- Portsmith Transfer Station: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 8.30am to 5.15pm
- Smithfield Transfer Station: Friday, Saturday and Monday 7am to 5.15pm, Sunday 9am to 5.15pm
- Gordonvale Transfer Station: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 8.30am to 5.15pm
- Babinda Transfer Station: Friday, Sunday, Monday, 8.30am to 4.45pm
A voluntary gold coin donation will support the activities the Endeavour Foundation.
Please note that mulch consists of shredded green waste that has not been cured and quality cannot be guaranteed. Mulch is for domestic use only and can be collected via utility, trailer or light truck up to 4 tonnes maximum GVM.
