Please control dogs and weeds as meter readers hit road

Kempsey Shire Council

Kempsey Shire Council’s water meter readers are out and about during May and June.

Meter readers are visiting properties from 17 May to mid-June.

As part of this process, customers are being reminded to clean up around their water meter and ensure it is easily accessible for the meter reader. This includes ensuring any overgrown vegetation is trimmed back and any buried meters are uncovered.

In addition, dog and other domestic animal owners are reminded to keep their pets restrained during the meter reading period to ensure the safety of the meter reader. Any interference from pets could cause issues with the accuracy of the reading.

It is important that water meters are accessible at all times to ensure accurate readings and to prevent any billing issues.

Kempsey Shire Council thanks customers for their cooperation during the meter reading period. If you have any questions or concerns please call Council on 6566 3200 and ask for the Water Account Officer or the Rates team.
