Police appeal for information after Ballarat stabbing

Police are appealing for public assistance following an assault and stabbing in Ballarat Central earlier this month.

It is understood a 56-year-old Black Hill man was involved in an altercation with two unknown men in a car park alongside Little Bridge Street about 1.15pm on Thursday, 9 June.

He was stabbed in the hand and shoulder and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The two offenders fled the scene on foot.

Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

Investigators have released images of two men who they believe can help with their enquiries.
