Police arrest man over two assaults, South Australia

A man was arrested in the city overnight after allegedly assaulting two people.

Police and paramedics responded to Hindley Street just after 2am on Sunday 26 July after Police Security officers witnessed a fight on CCTV.

Officers found two men who had been punched to the head and knocked out, with one victim still unconscious.

Both victims were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with head injuries. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 27-year-old Seaton man was arrested at the scene. Police checks revealed he was on bail not to enter the declared public precinct of Hindley Street. He has been charged with two counts of assault and breach of bail.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
