Police arrest six for drug trafficking, South Australia

Six people have been arrested for drug trafficking bringing a six month Serious and Organised Crime investigation to its conclusion.

About 8pm last night, Tuesday 7 July, detectives from Serious and Organised Crime Branch and Western District CIB arrested six people for trafficking ecstasy, cocaine and other drugs.

During the course of the investigation police seized more than half a kilogram of ecstasy, nearly 50 grams of cocaine, 1.3 kilograms of cannabis and other drugs as well as over $30,000 cash. The total street value of the drugs is estimated at about $140,000.

An 18-year-old man from Parafield Gardens was charged with seven counts of trafficking ecstasy and cocaine.

A 23-year-old Burton man was arrested and charged with six counts trafficking ecstasy, cannabis and cocaine.

Two Mansfield Park men, aged 19 and 20, were charged with trafficking ecstasy.

A 19-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, both from Angle Park, have been charged with trafficking ecstasy and other drugs.

The arrested people were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 23 September.
