Police charge man after indecent exposure at Gold Coast

Gold Coast police have charged a 48-year-old man following an incident at a Gold Coast toilet block earlier this month (June).

Police allege around 3pm on Tuesday June 2, the man entered a female cubicle at a toilet block on Tedder Avenue, Main Beach.

It is alleged the man then shuffled his body underneath the cubicle, exposing himself from the waist down to a woman who was in an adjoining cubicle.

Police have charged the man with one count of indecent act in any place which the public are permitted access.

He was bailed and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on September 1.

Detective Inspector Chris Ahearn said instances like this will not be tolerated in our community, and we urge anyone who has been the victim of this type of behaviour recently to come forward to police.
