Police charge two men after stabbing in Lilydale

Two men have been charged after an alleged stabbing at a campsite in Lilydale over the weekend.

About 12.30am yesterday (Sunday 29 January 2023), emergency services were called to a campground on Winegrove Road, Lilydale, after reports two men had been injured.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 38-year-old man for stab wounds to his chest and a 43-year-old man for a wound to his head.

Both men were treated at the scene, before the younger man was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The older man was taken to Grafton Base Hospital in a stable condition.

About 3pm, a 23-year-old man attended Grafton Police Station. He was arrested and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and reckless grievous bodily harm in company.

He was refused bail to appear before Grafton Local Court today (Monday 30 January 2023).

About 6pm, a 21-year-old man attended Grafton Police Station. He was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm in company.

He was given conditional bail to appear before Grafton Local Court on Monday 13 March 2023.
