More than 30 Queensland Police Service members and community members have been recognised for their outstanding service, courage and dedication at the Bundaberg Patrol Group Honours and Awards Ceremony held on Wednesday 15 July.
The ceremony celebrated recipients of Queensland Police Service Medals, National Police Service Medals, National Medals, and other awards recognising the recipients for service to the community of Queensland.
Bundaberg Patrol Group Chief Inspector Grant Marcus said policing has always been and will always be a very demanding profession, and this ceremony is a welcome opportunity to recognise the loyalty and diligence of these officers.
“Officers face tragedy, senseless acts of violence, disasters and more on a daily basis,” he said. “Nevertheless, they persevere, knowing that the community expects to go about its business, confident that its personal safety and property are protected.”
