Police investigate armed robbery at Wynnum West

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station in Wynnum West overnight.

At around 8:30pm a man entered the business at the intersection of Wynnum Road and Plaza Street, armed with a knife.

He demanded money from a staff member, who complied with the man’s demands, before fleeing the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man is described as Caucasian with short brown hair and of a slim build.
