Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was struck in a fatal hit-run collision in Hampton Park this morning.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Hallam and Pound roads about 4.30am on Thursday, 6 January following reports of the collision.
The driver of a vehicle failed to stop after colliding with the cyclist, a man in his 50s, who later died at the scene.
Detectives at the scene continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and appeal to anyone with information to come forward.
Motorists are advised Hallam Road is closed north and south bound, while Pound Road is closed west bound.
