Police investigate incident in Moe

Police are investigating an incident in Moe that involved three children in a car on 6 November.

It’s believed a small grey Mazda sedan pulled into a parking bay on Lloyd Street, in front of the old courthouse, at 1.30pm.

A man in the passenger seat was sighted allegedly pouring liquid from a jerry can inside the car which contained three children in the back seat and a female in the driver’s seat.

The man got out of the car and started pouring more liquid on the roof before the female driver started to drive off, knocking the male with the open door.

The woman drove off west on Lloyd Street while the man, who appeared to have a cast or brace on his left leg, fled on foot down a laneway toward Langford Street.

Police are keen to speak to the parties involved, who are believed to be known to each other, and anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
