Police have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist following an armed robbery in St Albans in May.
The incident occurred on McKehnie Street just after midday on 21 May.
Investigators have been told the victim was walking south along McKehnie Street towards Andrea Street when the offender approached him and demanded his bag.
When he refused, the offender produced a small kitchen knife and stabbed the victim in the upper shoulder.
A physical struggle commenced between the offender and victim before the offender fled with some of the victims personal items to the total vale of $1.70.
The 61-year-old victim, from St Albans, attended hospital where he received treatment for his non-life-threatening injuries.
Brimbank Divisional Response Unit officers have released CCTV and an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is perceived to be of Asian appearance, about 170cm tall, aged between 30 and 40-years-old with slim to medium build and dark coloured short hair.
He was wearing a thick black jacket, light coloured pants, black shoes with white ‘Nike Swoosh’ on side, carrying black backpack with small light-coloured object hanging in centre and at the time was pulling a grey coloured pram loaded with items.
