Police investigating robbery at Tewantin

Detectives are investigating after a hotel was robbed in Tewantin overnight.

Two people have entered the licensed premises in Poinciana Avenue around 11.30pm and threatened a female staff member with a firearm, demanding money.

The staff member complied and the people left with a sum of money.

Both offenders concealed their faces with masks.

The man is described as Caucasian and a solid build. The female is of a slim build and Caucasian.

Detectives are appealing for any information, dashcam footage or anyone who saw any vehicle or people in the area to contact police.
