Darebin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 51-year-old man with several counts of Criminal Damage after an investigation into ongoing damage to newly planted trees.
It is alleged the man repeatedly damaged newly planted trees in parklands and on residential nature strips.
The damage was located in the Thornbury and Northcote areas, bounded by St. George’s Road, Miller Street and the Merri Creek.
The Thornbury man has been charged with several counts of criminal damage and has been bailed to appear in Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on 24 January 2020.
