Police Make Arrest – Robbery In Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested a male in relation to a robbery in Darwin yesterday.

Just before 12:30am, police received a report of an adult male unlawfully entering a dinning establishment along Mitchell Street.

It is alleged that the offender smashed the glass of the front door to gain entry, before stealing multiple bottles of alcohol and fleeing the scene.

At 9:40am the same day, detectives from Strike Force Trident observed the offender boarding a bus along Cavanagh Street. He was subsequently arrested without incident.

The 33-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Burglary
  • Theft
  • Damage to property

Northern Territory Police continue to urge anyone who witnesses crime or anti-social behaviour to call 131 444 or 000 in an emergency.
