Police make arrests after police car ramming in Tarneit

Police have arrested four males following a police car ramming in Tarneit today.

Police observed a vehicle believed to have been stolen from Tarneit on 29 July and subsequently alleged to have been used during an armed robbery in Werribee today.

The driver of the Nissan attempted to do a u turn on Hopkins Road in Tarneit, impacting the front of a police vehicle causing minor damage.

The vehicle was located a short time later flipped on its roof on Hummingbird Boulevard after it hit a civilian vehicle, all the occupants fled on foot.

Four of the occupants were arrested a short time later and are currently being interviewed.

Investigators are still looking for one other occupant of the stolen vehicle.
