Police make multiple arrests for drug and proceeds of crime charges in Woolloomooloo

Police have made multiple arrests for drug offences following a police operation in Sydney’s inner-city last night.

About 6:40pm (Saturday 6 July 2019), officers from the Kings Cross and Surry Hills Proactive Crime Teams allegedly witnessed a man enter a vehicle in Woolloomooloo and exit shortly after.

A 33-year-old man was stopped by police and allegedly found in possession of four bags of cocaine.

Further police stopped a vehicle driven by another 33-year-old man. He was found in possession of $1200 which police allege is the proceeds of crime. He was arrested and taken to Kings Cross Police Station.

About 9.20pm (Saturday 6 July 2019), a 30-year-old woman was seen to enter a vehicle in Woolloomooloo and exit shortly after. Police stopped her and allegedly found her in possession of a quantity of cocaine.

Other officers stopped a vehicle nearby. The driver, a 20-year-old man was arrested and taken to Kings Cross Police Station.

During a subsequent search of the man’s vehicle, police seized 46 bags of cocaine and an amount of cash.

A 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were issued with field court attendance notices for the offence of possess prohibited drug.

Another 33-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug and deal with property suspected proceeds of crime. He was granted bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 23 July 2019.

A 20-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug, supply drug – indictable amount and deal with property suspected proceeds of crime. He was bail refused to appear via video link before Parramatta Local Court Sunday 7 July 2019.
