Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Oxenford at Gold Coast

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the death of a motorcyclist in Oxenford this afternoon.

Preliminary inquiries indicate around 3.45pm the motorcyclist was travelling north on the on ramp to the Pacific Highway when the rider lost control and struck a light pole.

The rider, a 61-year-old Oxenford man sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision of the rider prior to the crash, or any witnesses that have not yet spoken with investigators to contact police.
