Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Clarke Creek

Police are investigating a fatal crash at Clarke Creek overnight in which three people died, including a two-year-old child.

Early investigations indicate a white Holden sedan was travelling north on Marlborough Sarina Road when, shortly after 10pm, it left the road on approach to Grave Gully Bridge and crashed into a culvert.

A two-year-old male child and a 59-year-old Park Avenue woman were pronounced deceased at the scene.

An 18-year-old Rockhampton man was transported from the scene in a critical condition but died prior to arrival at hospital.

An 18-year-old woman was taken to the Rockhampton Hospital in a serious condition with head and abdominal injuries.

A 20-year-old Park Avenue man, the alleged driver, was transported to the Rockhampton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Investigators are asking for anyone that may have passed the vehicle, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to contact police.
