Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Eli Waters

A 75-year-old Dundowran Beach man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Eli Waters on Wednesday, November 1.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 7.30am, a vintage motorcycle and a Holden sedan collided on the corner of Maryborough Hervey Bay Road and Fairway Drive.

The 75-year-old motorcycle rider was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in critical condition on the day of the crash; however, succumbed to his injuries on November 11.

The driver of the Holden sedan, a 70-year-old Aspley man, was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
